Hand painted Sowthistle from my neighborhood here in California. This is a plant with many names, some of which people curse. Typically viewed as an obnoxious weed I find this plant mesmerizing when I take Pebble on her walk. The arching curves and structure of leaf to stem is absolutely stunning. And the resilience of this plant that can survive sun and heat and thrive in a crack of concrete is beyond me. If you are needing a tough friend to remind you to push on, this is the painting for you.
